ASTRONOMY - the focus of this FREE living history museum event on the shores of Lake Pat Cleburne. Astronomers from the THREE RIVERS FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS & SCIENCES ( will be there with 18" telescopes and other equipment, including binocular chairs, FROM 2 pm UNTIL MIDNIGHT on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12th. Solar scopes and corona-graphs for viewing sun flares and sun spots in the afternoon.
Costumed CHISHOLM TRAIL OUTDOOR MUSEUM docents ( provide education/entertainment for all ages. Cowboys, horses, campfire, period music, settlers, working blacksmith shop, livestock, free hay rides, Indian fry bread, free vintage black and white cowboy movies (outdoors), pioneer school, and more... Belle Silva's adjacent saloon ( will offer hot food (Blue Moon burger), and cold drinks.
TERRY'S TEXAS RANGERS ( will do a cannon salute at moon rise.
